David proposes a trip to NYC on their Spring Break

And he tells his “girlfriend”, Roz, about the trip.

 

David arranges a ride to NYC with Kurt.

 

Buster accompanies Kurt and David to New York.

David regales them with his excitement to see Broadway shows.

A waiter at Julius’ gay bar observes David’s innocent visit.

 

Joey approaches David to hook up, but David is shocked and leaves.

 

 

 

 

To meet Kurt for his ride back, he comes to Oliver’s apartment.

 

David sees beautiful Eric and is instantly attracted,

though he doesn’t know why.

 

On the ride back to Illinois, Kurt explains to David what it means to be gay, and that David must accept it and love himself.

 

David tells his college friends that he is gay.

His roommate, Gary, is not able to accept this of his friend.

 

Roz is horrified and hurt and violently rejects him.

At the opening night of “Mousetrap”, his friend, Charlie, sympathizes about Gary and Roz’s reaction.

 

While Roz flirts with the new actor, Edward, berating David.

Edward comes over to David and kisses him, informing him that he has been admiring him throughout the rehearsals.

 

They end up going out to the party together,

with their hopeful relationship budding.

The curtain call where playwright, David Christopher, joins the cast.
